The article above that Blondie posted was what I got my scriptural freedom with the first time I got divorced.. although I wasn't shown the article for two years. Up until that point the brothers told me I was not free at all even though he had admitted sex to me.. AND even to them he admitted being in love with another women AND being in a hotel with her all night (to make sure she was ok he said)... then two years later when i was still harping on my having my freedom the CO had them show me this above quoted article.

I was wondering is a homosexual relationship makes another person scripturally free, i heard it doesn't?

From the Family book, page 159:

As mentioned in Chapter 2 of this book, fornication is the only Scriptural ground for divorce with the possibility of remarriage.

[footnote] The Bible term translated "fornication" includes acts of adultery, homosexuality, bestiality, and other willful illicit acts involving use of the sex organs.

This has been the position for quite a while. I do believe that there was a time when the WTS did not allow divorce based on homosexuality, however. That was before the porneia fiasco of the 70's.

My X had no grounds either, but, she had a great plan...she had over 10 elders in her immediate family, so she knew she had some slack. She never accused me of adultry, until after I forced a Elders meeting, (we had had a very long separation) then she just had a 'suspicion' I had NEVER cheated on her. The Elders asked her dozens of questions, but, she had no answers for who, when, why, etc., just a 'feeling'. They told her there "Were no grounds for seperation or divorce', she told 'em she was going to get a Civil Divorce -- anyway. They 'punished' her by telling her "she would no longer be considered a Good Example to the congregation". And since I was the innocent spouse -- get this -- "SHE could be held Blood Guilty by Jehovah, if I were to weaken and commit adultry." The only thing she could not do was remarry and give 'demos' on the stage. If I ever remarried, I would be DF'd. AFter 7 years alone, I re-married a non-JW anyway ! I am awaiting my punishment... After 4 years tho' I stopped going to meetings and fell away. So far...I have managed to stay under the radar and out of their sights ! Here is the good news...2 of my kids have married "OUT of the Truth" and do not attend meetings...God works in mysterious ways, huh ? lol That's the LOOPHOLE.

Sassy's loophole is by far the best. Tell the elders to stuff their "scriptural freedom" up their stove pipes and get on with life.

    ggggggrrrrrrr
