Peet peeve... kinda...
...nuclear specialists have come
forward with testimony proving that UFOs are real and appear to
be concerned about our nuclear weapons.
What kind of statement is UFOs are real? Very few people would doubt the existence of Unidentified Flying Objects as all that term indicates is that something with a little flight action has not been able to be classified for some reason or other. In other words, not-sure-what-that-thing-in-the-sky-is!
So, how seriously could I possibly take a statement like "UFOs are real"? No kidding, smartie!
What bugs me, is that whoever wrote that statement isn't saying what they mean. What they mean is... alien spacecraft are real. But rather than risking sounding a bit off kilter, they retain psuedo-scientific terminology (" UFO") to lend an authoritative tone to their assertion.
If the writer wanted to assert little green men, martians, alien spaceships or whatever is visiting our planet, then they ought to have the guts to say so instead of hiding behind UFO-isms. Hey, they even assign feelings ("concern") to the alien ships.
The Disclosure Project has obtained the first-hand testimony of
several such insiders whose documents and corroborating
testimony proves that UFOs have monitored sensitive nuclear
facilities since at least the 1950s.
Again, they mean alien space ships have monitored sensitive nuclear...
man, no stodgy font and "authoritative" language is going to lend support to a writer/group that's afraid of saying space invaders!
