It is kind of ironic that a guy who hates video camera's, cellphones, and dockers would have a WEBPAGE?

Homey, Carlin may shun such conveniences, but he's no fool when it comes to self-promotion & making a buck.

got my forty homey?
Its like the Simpson episode when Krusty changes his image becoming a Carlin type of comedian complaining about yuppies, materilism, and the "man" but sells out in the end for a Canonero Humvee truck.

Happy to have provided you with a laugh, Dan-O. I keep adding sites like this to my list. So much bad news out there, it's good to have a few 'chuckle sites' in the favorites.
homey, he is not a Luddite.
My view is different from yours, although I do get your point.
I don't see Carlin's having a website as selling out ... any more than playing comedy clubs or producing a CD is selling out. After all, comedians need to be heard. There's lots of stuff to read at carlin's site, it's what I call *high quality, low advertising*. If he stayed off the web, then less people would be reading his critiques. It is, after all, what he does for a living.
Now, if you want to see a commercial website, check out Chris Rock's. NOT ONE JOKE! All advertising. What a disappointment! I was hoping for some funnies, monologues or whatever to post. But nope, not even one funny line. Rock is one of my all-time favorites, as well.
