Welcome! I have been "out" 30 years and so far the sky has not fallen:-) The sellers of impending doom are still selling and their results have been phenomenal. I never would have guessed the Publishing Corporation could have amassed a fortune of this magnitude. I remember when they were collecting nickles and dimes from Witness kids like me so they could buy the Squibb building in New York City. They have done very well. Not all of us have done as well.
I was not Dfed, my ability to stay a Witness wore out. I had a Witness bag around my neck and every time I was belly pushed at an assembly, every time a prediction failed, every time I was called into the back room, another rock went into the bag. Pretty soon it got too heavy to carry around.
When I set the bag down, all the stuff that was bothering me in my life went away almost overnight. But a timebomb was ticking. . . .
A HUGE mistake I had made was to marry a Witness woman and allow her to indoctrinate our children. Another HUGE mistake I made was to allow Witnesses like elders and relatives to have access to my sons.
I was so busy working and making a living that I forgot all about the Witnesses. They worked like a cancer on my family. Between my wife and the other Witness people, two of my sons went to work for the Watch Tower Publishing Corporation and decided I am bad association. One decided after he graduated from high school and the other decided after I had paid for a 4 year college education for him.
My biggest mistake was to not resist the JWs at any cost. For the first 20 years after I left I did not resist Witness activity going on right under my nose. Now I wish I had made a vocal and open stand against them and refuse them access to my sons. I would have been divorced but I would much rather have relationships with all 4 of my sons than accommodate a pissed off Witness wife.
The mother of my children still joins Witnesses who shun and snub me and has no problem with them doing that. So by staying with her, I lost 2 sons and still don't have a wife who supports me.
My advise to all: #1. Never Marry a Witness. #2. Never let ANY Witness near your kids (especially those you trust). #3. Deal with Witnessism, know what it is and what it can do.

Could you run the pinned blouse thinger me jiggy past me again as you completely flummoxed me with your explanation? Hmmmmmm. Okkkkkkkk, errrrrr, ahhhhhhhhhh, aye.
Ello Balmpot, how do you do, greetings from Celtics Cornwall, a mad cantantankerous land of myth and lgend, of roaring seas and majestic cliffs, where once pirates lured ships to their fate upon the rocky shores, where wild moors with windswept tors course granite tumbling hillocks hither and thither and quiet creeks with ancient oakland woods dip toes of branches of trees into quite serene timeless ebbing tidal waters below, a mullet jumped out the river and went PLOP!!
I'm as mad as a ruddy hatter, but wanted to say Hi and welcome to the board too, thoroughly looking forward to seeing you posting.
My best wishes to you and flowers, ere, ere' a bunch I picked earlier, I know they're a bit orf an droopy an all that, but stick em in ruddy vase, they'll soon pick up.
Kindest regards with a heap of a barrel of laughs.
