Hey Gang, I would just like to say that the 3 of us had the time of our life down there and we enjoyed meeting everyone. Never have I felt so touched by something as I did this apostafest. It was so hard for us to leave Texas on sunday morning. Everyone was so nice and understanding. I would like to thank all of the local people who helped organize this event, especially Valis, Big Tex and Cruzanheart, and all the rest. I can only mention a few notable people from the event as I have a limited time here at this computer terminal. I would first like to Thank Country Girl for it was her who mentioned to me this event when we were in Nashville for the Silent Lambs, and she encouraged me to come. I would like to say I was very pleased to finally meet up with Bryan and his wife and to thank them for the dinner they treated us to in Ft. Worth they are such nice people and hope they can come and visit with us up here. Wildfire (Brenda) is such a hoot and was the life of the party, I will miss hearing her talk and her cheerful demeanor, she is such an upbeat and fun person. I really enjoyed my lengthy conversation with moreisbetter and could have talked for 24 hours straight with her. I enjoyed listening to wild turkey and Littletoes experiences as elders.I enjoyed talking with shutterbug at the pool and discussing our medical problems. I know there are more, but maybe in the next few days I can post more here about Dallas. I am missing Texas something fierce and if I was financially able to, I would probably move down there. I would like to extend a warm welcome to anyone from the apostafest and this board to come and visit with us here in Tennessee and we can show you all the sights around here, we have a spare bedroom and would love to have visitors. Once again thanks To Valis and all those in Dallas who made this a truly remarkable experience for us all

    Dave,

That's the problem with apostafests, people are compelled to go back to their own lives and leave new found friends behind. And, you can believe me when I say there is nothing I would like better than to go over to east Tennessee and see you guys. Maybe I'll win the lotto. Uh huh, maybe frogs will grow wings. Bug

Dave I'm glad you had a good time and I'm even more pleased that you were able to meet up with lots and lots of apostates. We're not such a bad bunch once you meet us face to face.

    Be well,

    Chris

Dave...we enjoyed meeting you and all the rest, too. I feel the same, it was an extraordinary event for me, I had never even met an X-JW, all of the sudden...there were 60 of these fine people. Thanks to all for great memories !

    Dave,

It was great meeting you too. It is strange that I spent 36 years in the org and never felt comfortable at JW gatherings but from the first apostafest we attended I felt like I could relax among friends. I guess I was ignoring my internal 'Cult' alarms all those years.

Same for everyone else on this thread and those others we met in Dallas. Maybe we will see you again some time.

    Yep, same goes here!

Had a great time meeting and hanging out with you and you wife along with Darin. Glad your trip was worth it, I know you moved schedules of work and what not to make it. I'm glad it all worked out.

    Bryan
