I was lisitening ot a audio tape of him not to long ago. In fact he did that tape on 9/11 and mentioned that event as he was talking about how human being are all connect to each other and the power of living in the present.

Yes, what a concept, living in the present - not living in the past, or future. If we really think about it, applying that principal would racially change the world.

Thanks for the tip about his book.

    Peace - LL :)

Reading The Power of Now was the turning point in my life. It was the trigger which got me interested in investigating who I really am, and which opened my eyes in a way that many years of meditation never did. Do yourself a favor if what you read strikes a chord within you - get some of his tapes and just listen with an open mind. What you may discover about yourself could change everything.

Yes, I read The Power of Now, I think it was JamesThomas who recommended it. A great book.

Tolle has a second book out entitled "Stillness Speaks". I want to read that one also.

Stillness Speaks is even better if listened to - as with all of Tolle's stuff read/listen with a totally open mind.

This book has had a huge impact on me. My daughter committed suicide as a result of the JW cult experience, I have spent most of the six years since this happened re-living all the terrible, unloving events after her death. Learning to live in the Now has changed everything for me, also the explanation of the ego's role has helped me be more aware of my mind's "busy work":).

James Thomas, I am now reading Loving What Is and it is also an excellent book, I saw you recommend it to another poster.
