Just found out from a friend.... the other release is:

Good News for All Mankind...it replaces the other one. The message is in 100 languages. Three versions were printed, and one for the language groups in the US.

Just thought all inquiring minds would want to know..

I see their running out of things to print. But it's the only way for them to make money. Take an old book and put a new cover and viola! instant cash. Especially when they make it a bookstudy, then every JW has to buy it!

Many, however, the NWT in languages other than English is a translation of the ENGLISH version!!!!

Biblical Languages (Hebrew, Greek, etc.) -> English(NWT) -> Other Languages

And the WT claims the NWT is the most accurate translation of the Holy Scriptures? More like a "translation of a translation"!

    Yeppers.

6M JWs, with kids, and the obligatory "field literature" (read: "closet shelf for 6 months and then recycle").

When I was ass't literature servant, I gave a SM talk, straight out from a KM QB, about cutting back our literature orders. I knew how much paper was being thrown away...and the PO promptly got up on the stage and over-rode what I'd said.

Sell the paper, sell the paper, sell the paper
