Hello there everyone,
I'm just stopping in to say hi and give you a whirlwind catch up on everything that's been going on. I've missed talking to a lot of you but time hasn't been kind, and I've wanted to spend my downtime with the kids.
Everything is going swimmingly! We just bought a new, bigger house which is a HECK of a lot closer to the high school. I'll start with that--it's a gorgeous 2600 sq. ft home that we've put in custom tile and done some other things. I'll try to post pix in the next week when the tile work is done. We wer considering keeping this house as a rental but in the end didn't want the liability that comes with a swimming pool.
Hubby is great, job is great, what else can I say.
Teen daughter....rock on. Concerts so far this year include Styx w/Frampton, AFI, Simon and Garfunkel (scheduled in 3 weeks) Mae, etc. Her high school marching band placed 2nd in the STATE by .04 points. California is not a small state. The winter percussion squad (she played 1st bass) placed 1 in the regional competition and 13th on a national level, where they did not have their best show. She recently tried out for her sophomore year and was ranked 1st on the bass drum and 4th on snare, behind 2 senior and 1 junior BOY. Right on. She is doing well school wise, except for French which she bombed out on. Bad choice. Tried to tell her at the beginning of the year but she was hard-headed. Her new bedroom is 16' by 12' with two walk in closets. Her room is big enough for her drums. How cool is that?
The little guy is a MESS. Two and a half now. Time flies....a few weeks ago he told me to call him, "SON." Now I have been directed to call him "Big Boy." He rides a SCOOTER and a BICYCLE. Move over Tony Hawk.
My career is going very well. By the end of the month I should have another promotion. Chant, pray or whatever! for me. I'll tell you more about it when it's official.
So what about you guys? Catch me up!
Lisa
