i agree with johnny here, totally, i got no problem with jw's being banned, but i guess being rounded up and shot would be a little extreme wouldn't it? i will never advocate this half cocked freedom the world talks about, it's garbage, every society has the right to protect itself from what IT sees as its enemies, the jw's do it, western nations do it, eastern nations do it, so are the russians, good luck to them.

Civil liberties are too precious to sacrifice in a knee jerk reaction to what is perceived by authoritarian lawmakers as a threatening trend. How much better and responsible it is to improve education and develope critical thinking in our youth so that they can make better choices.

pete if the u.s would have finished off the wt in 1918 like the gov't did to a lot of wacky org's at the time . we would not be here today talking about it today, would we. the gov't s are the ministers of god's law . for get the verse> what civil liberties does a jw have in the borg? come on they have none X 1000 . tell that to some jw that took it in the ass for 3 years because his wt conscience preventing him from mopping floors at the hospital. you think the jw's even if not banned are going to have it good in russia . when it's time to worship the wt or the superior law of the land. .. give me a break. it just don't work that way . ban them now and let each person make up their own mind . not the wt making up their mind for them. john
