I could never do it. I was always guilty. I suffered from migraines for years. The before and after and during part of the migraine lasted for about 9 days and at that time I couldn't do a whole lot, especially read or concentrate. But was always told that others could keep it up even in worst conditions. I could never do it all and felt that I was always a second rate JW. But I was compassionate towards others in their weakness, so at least I did something right....Glad I don't have to perform the JW routine any longer...

The whole point is to keep you exhausted and so busy that they retain control of you.
BINGO...No matter how much you do and how much you try to do it is never enough.
There will always be another way you can ramp up production for them yet some more. This leaves no time to think for yourself which is what they want. The minute a person starts to think for themselves is the minute they leave this destructive CULT.

Undaunted Danny
The Watchtower got a lot of my money, mostly as cash donations.I gave them my a$$ets because they lied and said I would never need it for old age.
I have been disabled since 1994 and I demand my money back, that i need.I am not a young buck anymore.
It is a big burden to be broken financially. It's called elder fraud, they belong in jail.

Danny,
Glad that you wrote in.
You're a legend. Keep it up.
Mostly guys, I have to say that I was in a perpetual state of guilt.
I didn't even calculate all those things like Morning text, meditation all all that.
You figure...
8 hours sleep
1 getting "ready" time
8 hour work day.
2 hours (total - breakfast, lunch and dinner).
That's 19 hours as it is.
You figure. That leaves 5 hours in the day. -

My experience with being a regular pioneer was that too much emphasis was placed on "hours" and "literature placed" and "home bible studies". Pioneers were to set the example in all things. I was very honest in my reporting of time, and usually fell a bit short of reaching the 100 hours. We were expected to fill in for giving the Ministry School parts whenever someone didn't show up. They rarely seemed to appreciate my sincerity or my efforts. Instead, they kept at me about meeting the "requirements". I quit the pioneering after becoming very disallusioned.
All through school, from the eighth grade forward, it was drilled into us that furthering our education was wrong. The "end" was so near and we had an obligation to bring people into the fold. We were responsible for lives. It was all just too incredibly much for me to bear.

Study more.
Go more to the meetings.
Help clean the KH more.I can't think of anymore solutions. I bet you people can.

Ironically, the WT loves to quote Jesus saying "Come to me all you who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh you.....For my yoke is kindly and my load is light." (Matt. 11:30) as an invitation to become a JW. As if that was the point of the verse. Once again, the WT tarnishes the reputation of Jesus Christ, this time, in effect, making him out to be a liar.
The yoke is kindly at first, if you are a sincere believer in JW dogma. Then come the responsibilities. What starts out as a friendly weekly home bible study becomes a full-time job before you know it. Vacation time? No. A health plan? No. Room for advancement? Only if you are a man. A forum for your opinions to be voiced? Don't even think about it. Oh, and by the way, you send money to the boss (faithful and discreet slave), not the other way around.
Sounds like a light, refreshing load, huh?

Sure, it is impossible to do everything all the time. It is designed that way so that you always have something else to do. "The devil makes work for idle hands" (That is not a WT or a Bible quote, just an old saying).. The experienced elders that I worked with would freely admut that.. Of course it was a lot easier for them - they had retired . I struggled for years as an elder, with a demanding full time job, as well as family problems
it was a treadmill . I was sooo glad to get off it
