TT - so glad to hear your dad is not totally braindead - like you ex. Jeez - sounds like my mom!
I imagine if you celebrate your daughters B-day, give her Xmas presents and don't make her go out in service - she will choose your lifestyle. My dad wasn't a JW but he made me keep going to meetings even when I begged him to not make me. I think he was afraid of my mom!
