What is everyone cooking today for dinner?

I just put in a turkey breast roast (it's 8:00 a.m.). First, it's in a oven of 425 degrees to kill off all the surface bacteria, then after an hour, I'll slow roast it at 225 or 250 degrees for 5-6 hours. It's so tender that way!!

So, anyone have anything good going for today? Yummmmm.

I'm having an iced latte now,, and a before bed! I just read in Prevention that ONE glass of wine or a beer daily helps stabalize insulin levels (weight control) and prevent diabetes!

Nothing but bachelor chow for me, something canned, frozen, processed or taken out.

    Patio,

I'm doing the cooking today. We have family coming for dinner, however, I want to keep it simple and healthy.

So, I'm doing a base of low-fat Caesar salad, chips fried in olive oil (that's fries to you), and griddled chicken breast. I'll throw in a few onion rings in batter just for piquancy.

For drinks we've got some nice crisp Pinot Grigiot and a young Chardonay for the grown-ups, Carling Black Label lager for those whom good wine is wasted upon.

    You wanna come Pat?

Come on down, Sir!! There's plenty!

E-man, yummy! I've got to add some vegs and stuff to my dinner.

Believe it or not, I am "performing" tonight and will have to be gone, so I wanted to pack some turkey sandwiches to take with me. Here's a link to my chorus!:

Some folks seem to think if one beer does some good, 12 beers will do a lot of good. From what I've read, more than one or two does more harm than good.

Eman, I once worked with this fellow who would show up for work, two or three times a week, looking like 12 miles of bad road and his eyes looked like a road map. His favorite expression, "I aint no wino, I'll drink anything" Well, this Texan is no wino either as I never aquired a taste for the stuff, but will take you up on the lager. Bug

I'm planning on having fries a la Englishman (same method!), and a breadless hamburger, steamed and buttered cauliflower on the side. :D And a little saki before bed.

I'm really craving the bun, though, my wheat cravings have been overwhelming lately.

patio, I didn't know you sing in a chorus! That's cool, I would love to do that.

I'm making a nice meatsauce to serve over angelhair pasta. Steamed broccoli as a side dish. Fresh from the oven breadsticks.

Who's hungry? There'll be plenty to go around.
