Has anyone tried this browser yet?

    http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

I love it and the only thing this browser doesn't see on this forum when posting is using the smilies when creating or replying a topic, only MSIE can see it. I can only hope that somehow Simon can make use of Firefox and help us allow us to see it's feature to use it's smilies when posting.

Firefox imo has better security, it also has Mozilla Thunderbird email as well.

You must be a MAC user.

No Firefox isn't just for a Mac, I am a windows user, but I like Firefox because of it's simple use and security.

Firefox supports Windows, Mac as well as Linux.

I use Firefox 0.8 - I sometimes have problems on this site and others when hitting "back", it'll go "cannot find /" or "cannot find index.html" etc. A bit of a pain. Does 0.9 fix this issue? Will I have to reinstall the extensions?

Would be nice to have smilies etc working under non-IE browsers - or at least a list of the URLs for them so they can be added manually.

No problems here, you can try and download it over 0.8 with 0.9 and see if it helps. If not, guess you may have to unistall the whole thing and reinstall 0.9.

Extensions isn't that hard to put back in since it's so easy to do it, almost like on the fly.

I noticed however when I am finished posting, my fonts are bunched together, so I just click edit and resumit it again and it's fixed without touching any of my typed words. Kinda a hazzle, but I think I can live with it since it's not hard to fix it.

The browser sure beats all sorts of problems that IE can encounter like enbedded scripting that can screw up my machine. Most scripting is aimed at the MSIE codes, so Firefox is safe from that.

Yeah, Firefox is miles better than IE.

I add HTML formatting as I'm writing so I don't have to worry about layout and I don't miss the formatting tools.

How you do that? Is that part of an extension format? If so what's the name of the tool?

    Thanks

No extension or tool, I just write HTML directly into the text box when I post.

Aside from the first three sections which only refer to creating webpages from scratch, this cheatsheet will be handy for formatting without the tools available for the forum in IE. :)

I just swapped over from IE to Mozilla also - I tried Netscape but didn't like it.

I am really impressed by Mozilla, so simple yet loads of features to amuse me!

    Would definitely recommend it.
