If I planned an Apostafest, would anybody come?

I got to talking this over with my wife and she said "why dont you plan an apostafest here", to which I replied "There arent many XJW's in this state and Dallas was so appropriate a location due to all the local people that attended" Anyway I got to thinking we could plan a 3 day apostafest here in East Tennessee, and for those that would like we could make it a camping event with all the campgrounds in the Great Smoky Mountains im sure we could find one suitable for most people. Besides the national park we also have Dollywood and Gatlinburg. For those of you not familiar with my area, The Great Smoky Mountains is the most visited national park with 9 million visitors annually and most of these people staying in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. So anybody want to discuss this idea?

You should sheck LadyLee's MAP to know who's at least closer to your area ... nice idea (SMOCKEY MOUNTAINS well ... IT IS APPEALING !)

There seem to be quite a few apostafests in the planning stage at the moment and a few have gone - obviously not everyone can go to all of them - I would like to go to one so I am going to be selective - at the moment I am planning to go to the CaliFest which Sassy is organizing - but if the fests are sufficiently spread out over the calendar then more may be able to come to more fests - if you understand what I am saying,

Dave, I sure wish we had the $$$ to come to east Tennessee again. Believe me it is worth the trip to see and experience all there is to see and do in that area. Hope you will be able to have this soon. Bug

Howdy Junction...Depending when you plan it I would be all for it man. Just keep us informed and assuming I have the money I would definitely consider it. I love Tennessee and the Great Smokeys..beautiful country that it is.

I think locations doesn't to have to necessarily be a problem.. it is more timing.. Originally people were pushing for a So Cali fest early June and although I personally was trying to get to the Memorial Day Texas fest and wanted it to be later, I tried to go with the suggestions and plan it for this month......well no one hardly signed up. If you have a lot of pary goers in your area it is one thing, but for anyone budgeting out trips (as stilla mentions above) it is important to take the other fests into consideration..

We moved ours to September and now are getting more interestes...........
