Know exactly how you feel. I've and am still going through the same thing, was disfelloshipped about a 6 weeks ago.

Welcome, marked! You described almost to a tee my feelings. It's been almost 10 months out for me, and I too have to agree that I've found unfathomably much more love in the real world than I ever could have imagined as a Witness. And the days of being blissfully happy...yes, I'm with you there, too. My hope is that I can ride this feeling out for the rest of my life - in that case, my years in the org will not have been wasted. Welcome to the board! Welcome, marked. Your experience certainly shows how we come out of the darkness gradually. I have been out only 2 years and I wonder often why I hesitated.

What upset me the most was that I truly felt my growth as a person had been hindered for years by this joke of a religion with all it's arbitrary rules, regulations, and expectations. There are experiences I could have had, things I could have learned, and places I could have gone if it wasn't for that damned Orwellian microcosm.
