A very old Kingdom Hall had an "accidental" fire in 1986 here in the Twin Cities. Of course it was accidental, and Jehovah probably made it happen because he wanted the local brothers to get the insurance money to help fund their nice new suburban hall.

I am just as surprised that the city didn't make them put a sprinkler system in . I would think they would be more concerned about the rath of God by defrauding the insurance company . OHH that's right it's part of satans system of things so ...............
I'm sure Jehovah had His reasons for letting that Kingdom Hall burn down.
Perhaps He finds the odor of burning Kingdom Halls pleasant.

Im wondering if the insurance company will pay up since it is due to negligence, insurance companies are always looking to get out of paying claims. I wonder if this brother faces any kind of legal or congregational consequences. I would hate to be in his shoes.

Kingdom Halls are not independently insured. The WTS carries the "policy."
Else! good idea about the fire extinguisher when BBQ'ing. never thought of it, probably should though, some of that stuff really flares.
