P.S. A pound is about 1 dollar 50 in the US

    Way off !

It's about 1.85 at the moment so a £160,000 UK house would be nearly $300,000

It's depressing when you live in a mid-terrace in the UK (esp. in Salford!) and the same 'value' in Canada would get you a nice lake-side 4 bedroom detached house with a view of the Rockies !

Wow, my 2 bedroom flat will get me a bungalow in Florida with a pool!

    Buffalo, New York

    Detroit, MI

    West Palm Beach, FL

Those seem to be the "best" Canadian citys according to my licence plate survey....not for nuthin', but hey, don't the Quebec plates say "buy me souveirs"?

Hillbilly (wonders why most of Canadians live within 2 miles of the border class)

A town with plenty of jobs, and a nice place for my girlfriend and I to raise our children. not TOO cold during the winter...maybe some snow, but none of the -2 degree crap we had down here in oregon a while back. a close knit community, not too far from everything Hamilton is in the niagara area. It may fit those qualifications. Toronto is like the new york city of canada, everything there turns on money$$$$$$. Nos Cummy, that would be the red light district? S
