Thanks for the help guys and girls, but it didn't work.
I sent the article with some pointed questions and it just bounced off his head like he was wearing a potty on it.
Made no attempt to answer any of the question and claimed that he couldn't see any claim to inspiration in it and claimed that the formulation for the directions was taken from surveys in different congregations.
I thought that they said they are not prophets and that they have never claimed to speak in the name of Jehover.
The Lord through his "faithful and wise servant" now states to us: "Let us cover our territory four times in six months." That becomes out organization instructions and has the same binding force on us that his statement to the Logos had when he said, "Let us make man in our image."
Black Sheep, the questions you asked this person, were they 'thinking' questions? Questions that would make one actually pause and reflect on their answer. True, people with closed minds will not give you the time of day, and that's pitiful. Well, you tried, didn't you?

All of the questions were designed to make him think. I did not make any conclusions myself.
I am hoping he will go back and read it again later.
You can lead a boar to water but you can't make it think.
It is just as foolish for a publisher to conclude that he can serve the Lord properly without a personal assignment as it would be for a company to decide that it could function acceptably to the Lord without a territory assignment." (p205)
So now that the WTS have long since abandoned the idea of "personal territory", who are the fools? Is it not those who wrote such disgraceful words? with typical haranguing of the flock, Joe Ratherflawed's legacy is still alive today.
"The Lord breaks down our organization instructions further and makes them more practicable by further instructing us through his 'faithful and wise servant.' He says, 'Let us assign the field, the world, to special pioneers, regular pioneers and companies of Jehovah's witnesses in an orderly way...'He says the special requirements for special pioneers shall be 175 hours and 50 back-calls per month, which should develop into a reasonable number of studies...for regular pioneers 150 hours and as many back-calls and studies as can be properly developed during this time. And for company publishers he says, 'Let us make a quota of 60 hours and 12 back-calls and a least one study a week for each publisher.' These directions come to us from the Lord through his established agency directing what is required of us; and for those who really love the Lord and are guided by his cousel, tht is a reasonable service requirement.. This expression of the Lord's will should be the end of the conroversy..."
Strange how the Lord can be specific about the number of hours and back calls special pioneers should make per month, but not the Bible studies. And for regular pioneers, the Lord is sure about the number of hours, but not the the back-calls and Bible studies. When it comes to publishers, he is very precise.
"This expression of the Lord's will should be the end of the controversy." Again, the Lord seems to be hedging.
I wonder if Jesus kept a tab of how many hours the Apostles preached per month?
I feel sick in the stomach when i read this and recall my own family were hooked on this. How many of us have the same experience?
How thankful we must be to at long last have gained some release to freedom.
I guess they are too well trained to just read want they want out of anything, bible, WT, newspapers etc. "...no matter what it contradicts" as Russell put it.
