In the page on Troubled Years - when Rutherford took over, it said this:

Judge Rum-pot did a hostile takeover of the International Bible Students assets. They bent over and let him stove it way deep. Then he vilified them and rewrote the History of the WTS. A few years later he changed the name of his group to Jehovahs Nit-Wtinesses to further separate them from the Russel group. True. But try and convince JW's of that. Show them the proof from tjeir own writings and they stillwon't believe it. And when they finally do accept the fact that Rutherford ursurped the authority of the directors in his hostile takeover, they simply say "It was Jehovah's will." Ans they proceed to cite scriptures to prove that Jehovah uses illegalmeans to accomplish his work.

On the other hand, the Bible Students have the same attitude ... they simply say "it was the Lord's will, no sense cvrying over spilt milk, we have work to do."

What??!!! Never heard of this before. You are joking, RR, right?

Nope ... not kidding. This is documented in the literature that was distributed between 1917-1919. And many of the ones who were around that time testify to it. And if I'm not mistaken, it's mentioned in the United Stated VS IBSA trial trsnacripts, whicdh I am in the process of scanning to make available on a CD rom. Bear with me it's over 1,000 pages.
