They recycled the Paul Drama from 1973 (4?)?? I was in that one. The "Demonized Girl" was my best friend. She called out after Paul:

"These men are slaves of the Most High God, and are publishing to you the way of salvation..." I'll never forget those lines, or mine either. We rehearsed three nights a week and the drama (at least that version) was over 2 hours long. We aged Paul by spraying his hair with more and more gray as the drama went on.

Stephen's speech just before he was stoned was one of the longest and the brother who had to memorize it wasn't all that bright. It took him months to learn the part.

BTW, I played Eunice - young Timothy's mother. My "husband" was a Greek, so I got to wear a somewhat sexy outfit with lots of jewelry.

I can't believe they can't come up with something original.

When The Brady's were sagging ratings they brought in a cute kid to get attention

    ditto The Partridge Family

    ditto Family Matters

    ditto Full House

The moral of this story, sagging ratings + cute kid = cancellation next year

Now if only this applied to demonic children and the J Dubs

If anyone gets a recording of it, or even a part of it with the sounds. I'd love to put it up online.

I'll see what I can do, Randy.

At one time... didn't they 'sell' these 'dramas' on cassette tape?

About 3 or 4 years ago - when I was still married to my JW wifey, we were visiting some of her friends (also JWs). These folks were sooooo proud of their cassettes... they popped one into a player, and turned it on. It was supposed to be the 'latest' drama - that they had had to watch at one of their assemblies.

I was only half paying attention - but when they played it... dang! it sounded just like one that I remembered from the 60's or 70's.

    Oh well...

    Regards,

I saw the drama, and yes, there was a demon posessed woman in it. She ran around the stage and freaked out. It was one of the few times that I woke up.

Scary? Come on. Am I scary when I talk like this (typing with a funny accent)? This doesn't even rank with Scooby Doo on the scariness indicator.

I will agree with a previous poster that this drama was less shitty than usual - still shitty, but not as much as usual.

    Ezekiel3,

If this true, the Society must be desperate!

It also means, we're doing good work in getting as many people as possible out. Good!
