damnit for some reason it won't paste.....anyway lets skip ahead...this is his response

Jared I read the information you down loaded from the apostate web page. There was one very clear miss quote, the article originally read "neither a prophet" or..., not "either" as your web page said. Check it out.

I need you to speak for yourself, not using the apostate web page. I have not consulted the Society, everything I sent you has been of my on originality. You should do the same. The people you are dealing with are prejudiced against anything from the Society and are filling you with FALSE information and lies, and half truths. The Society does not claim to be a prophet; in fact they often state that they are not a prophet. They are the faithful and discreet slave; only in that sense do they speak for Jehovah. The people you are dealing with are in fact the evil slave beating the true slave. And you are being led by them to do the same.

It boils down to this in a nut shell: the people you are dealing with are the faithful slave or they are not, or the remnant of the 144,000 using the WT Society are the faithful slave or they are not. Read Matt. 7:1-6, & 13-27. After looking at the fruits produced, from Jehovah's point of view, who do you think? What spiritual food are your "advisors" "distributing at the proper time?" The only thing they are distributing is attacks on "their fellow slaves," No real spiritual food at all. Have they published a book like "Draw Close To Jehovah"? Jesus called it "beating their fellow slaves".

Remember Jesus said that there WOULD BE a faithful slave, some one who would "distribute the food at the proper time", so you have to choose. Although imperfect, who is really doing that to the best of their ability?

You did not admit to me that your "advisors" could be wrong.

Did you read the scriptures I asked you to read?

    Love Dad

and now this is my response sent to him today

    Dad,

You pointed out one misspelling out of the several quotes that I presented to you. I mistyped the original quote, sorry. This doesn't change the questions that I have though. What do you have to say about the many dates set by the Society for the end to come and yet they were not true. Would Jehovah give them a wrong date? To me it's fairly simple actually, just as you stated in you email either the Society does have divine authority and Truth given to them by Jehovah or they do not. If they do why would God give misinformation? Why would God allow his organization to write doctrine making it illegal to accept an organ transplant thus faithful followers dying to keep their faith and then the Society changes it's mind. If they were wrong wouldn't they be blood guilty? The other option is that they aren't a prophet or "channel of communication for God on Earth" (by the way isn't this the definition of a prophet?). If this is the case what authority do they have and what credentials do they have to invent such doctrine that controls your life and your relationships and your health? I do realize though that the Society does now allow some blood fractions to be accepted in addition to the blood expanders that have been OK for a while. But it is also my understanding that you can not donate blood. Isn't that a bit hypocritical? Don't blood fractions in fact come from donated blood? How does the Society know which fractions are OK with Jehovah to take? It just seems to to me Dad that the Society has taken a Pharisee like role. They go beyond the law by all of their rules. Jehovah's law should not be burdensome!! How burdened are you by not being able to have a normal relationship with your own son. How burdened would you be if mom died because she didn't accept blood. Don't you think Jehovah, the happy God, would rather mom be alive and in a state able to serve him? Don't you think Jehovah would want you to be with you own son? What anguish will you feel when there are no longer anointed brothers taking the lead in providing spiritual food. They are dying out Dad! In the next ten years there will be no more original anointed brothers. Didn't the calling end in 1935? I know that there are replacements but that has always seemed a little sketchy to me.

Listen Dad...it is obvious that I have a lot of questions and doubts. Unfortunately I'm not receiving responses from you that satisfy my questions. Like I said above, your only rebuttal to the many quotes taken directly form the Society's literature in my last email was a typo!! You totally avoided the question and then you go into attacking my sources. How can you do that? You responded exactly as I had anticipated because that is what you are TOLD TO SAY AND TO BELIEVE!! At least everything I put together was by my own research and taking bits and pieces that I agree with and deciding on my own what to believe. Why don't you check it out for yourself. www.jehovahs-witness.com I know that the Society wants to keep you away from seeing the Truth in the matter but you owe it to yourself. Like I've always said, what is wrong with gathering information?? You accuse these people of being evil and wicked but that is in fact the way the Society wants to portray them. They are not wicked people! Granted some people are angry at the Society and many of them have reason to be. However there area also a lot of people on there like me. People who have questions and who are on a search for spirituality. People who used to be elders, circuit overseers, district overseers and Bethalites. These are people who are looking for support from people who know exactly what they are going through.

Anyway I want to express to you some of my beliefs. This is what makes sense to me from the perspective that I am taking on viewing the world. I still believe in God, Jesus and the Bible. But to me Jesus is just another prophet from God like Buddha or Muhammad. And the Bible is just another holy book like the Koran. These books are good. Most all holy books teach peace, fairness, love, and in general good moral values. I do not believe in just one "Truth". To believe that, in my mind, is very haughty and cocky. Instead I believe that there are many ways to God and that way lies in your heart condition. You yourself have expressed that people other than JWs have God's approval. I believe that whole heartedly! I don't believe in fabricating hard and fast rules and dogma that is only supported by misapplied and misinterpreted scripture. To me the worst thing a person or organization can do is use the Bible to control peoples minds. It's blasphemy!

Anyway...these are all my words and my thoughts...nobody else's. I am not a wicked person Dad. YOU KNOW ME!! My heart and my personality has not changed. But my mind has. I will continue to live my life guided by the moral values I was taught as a child, moral values that MOST people teach their children. I plan on teaching my own children the same values. I hope that you can look in from outside the box. I hope that you will chose to be a part of my life. To be there at my wedding, when your grandchildren are born, when I need you to be my father. I will always be here for you Dad. No matter how you view me I will always take car of you in your old age. I just hope that you can see the light before it is too late. Before you let too much time pass by. I love you Dad! I want to spend time with you and go fishing and hunting and come to family functions and BE A NORMAL FAMILY!! But I'm not going to pretend to believe something I don't and be somebody I'm not. It is not fair to ask me to do this.

Well I'd really like it for you to tell me how you feel about this. We should play by the same rules. Instead of reciting beliefs imposed on you by the Society tell me what you feel in your heart. Open up to me and share with me what YOU feel is fair, loving and true. Sit back one day by yourself and just think. Think about all the good going on in the world. I know it might be hard to see since the Society just focuses on the negative aspects, but if you allow yourself you will see that there is a lot of good and a lot of good people. Think about if you were God what would you do. Would you really murder the majority of people on this earth? If you were God looking down on you and mom and the heartache you are going through...would that make you happy? If you were God would you direct your organization on earth to distribute wrong information (the Society has distributed wrong information in the past based on what is being preached now)? If you were God would you have just ONE chosen people out of the 6 billion people on earth? These are questions that the teachings of the Society do not fit what I feel is right. When will your sense of justice, love, power and wisdom conquer your sense of servitude to the Society?

OK I'm going to go now. It's obvious that I HAVE been thinking about this a lot and on my own and I'd like for you to do the same. I just want us to be honest with each other Dad. I love you so much and I look forward to your response.

    Love always,
    Jared

    Jared:

You wrote a fantastic letter to your Dad!!!

If you were my son, it would surely get my attention and my heart!

On his previous letter he seemed stuck on the faithful slave providing the "food". Well, where was that slave after the disciples passed away?

There was no "faithful slave" until Russel or Rutherford....(right?) That was many hundreds of years later. Why would God wait so long to provide a channel for food? (If indeed we need a channel to provide us food?)

I liked how you added the question about how the faithful and discreet slave have the ability to decide what part of the blood CAN be used, whereas before NONE of it could be used according to the scriptures they quote us. That was very good sound reasoning. I have wondered the same thing. It doesn't add up!

I can't wait to hear his response....please keep us posted, ok???

Reading the latest responses has brought tears to my eyes reading them. It seems obvious that your relationship with your Dad is so loving, caring, and sincere. My wish is that your relationship can continue on, even if your Dad does not agree with your decision. Hopefully, he will search his own heart, and come to realize the real "Truth" about the Org. and realize that they are teachings of only men, who's teachings have no correlation with being God's channel of communication. I wish you the absolute best with your Dad!

There is a big difference in being a ?faithful and discreet slave? and a prophet. Read Mattt. 24:44-51. Note there that during the time of the end there would definitely be a specific channel for food at the proper time. That ?faithful slave? would not be the originator of the food, he is only a servant, a waiter if you will, serving the food. He would however, in contrast to the ?wicked slave? that ?beats his fellow slaves?, including beating the ?faithful slave?, serve as the only channel of food ?at the proper time.? It is very important that we distance ourselves from ?that wicked slave?, and be able to properly answer Jesus? question, ?Who really is the faithful and discreet slave??

jaredg, hi guy, I just wanted to share something with you that i believe is very important. 2 Tim 3:16 states: All scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work. Now we are told that in every thing we do, every day of our lives we can turn to Gods Word to help us, to equip us, to FEED us for every good work. The Bible is inspired, thats why it is called Gods Word, It is even alive (Hebrews 4:12). This being said, one might say that the Bible is the only "faithful slave" around these days. Virtually unpolluted since the day it was first written down.Men have put their different spin on its contents which is why we have different "religions" based on its contents. But the contents haven't changed. The "living" Bible has remained faithful. This Bible as we know it was not compiled at the time that it was written but we have it now, during the time of the end. Virtually unchanged. How faithful is that? This Bible has also discretely made it into just about every house on the planet. Also what is more discrete than a book set on a table? Nothing out of the ordinary there. Have you got a problem in life that causes you to ask what are God's views on the subject, lets just see what food he can dispense today. Look a banquet of council, all in this discrete little book.
