    Cottage fries, Home fries, shoestrings, german fries, waffle cuts, ruffle style chips, kettle fries, steak fries, dinner fries, dip chips, scoop chips, tortilla chips, corn chips.....

    and now can we discuss tater salads?

    And in New Zealand, crisps are called 'chippies'. Fries are 'chips'. Or 'hot chips' if you want to be really clear. (Unless you work at McDonalds, in which case you call them fries).
