7. True friends ( as much a friend as non-witness people are)
My witness friends only shun me because they HAVE to.....not because they want to. If the society dropped the shunning of those who wish to leave the borg.........all my friends would still talk to me although they prolly wouldn't get too close to me as I'd be a "worldly guy". I didn't have any enemies.

Sure, Xena, we'll be glad to adopt you - it'll be good having yet another colored passport in the family!!!!!!!!!! What color's yours? D'ya know that some passports open from back to front? (Shhh, it's the poms!!!)
This topic has been discussed by the downunder mob over the years and our conclusion is that the dubs have very few real friends. Nothing wrong with that, it's the experience of most people, but it flies in the face of what the Borg claims i.e. that a dub has so many real friends. The reality is quite different. So what of our wide circle of so-called friends? It seems that they were simply fellow travellers i.e. associates.
I hope this may be of some encouragement to our lurkers - don't be afraid of what lies in store for you if you fade or even DA from the borg. There's a world out there of good honest-hearted people and some of them would be good friends for you.
