I went to see Thunderbirds last night - I used to love Thunderbirds when I was a kid and when I was an adult. This film however left me a little dissappointed. Anyone seen it yet? Anyother film recently you have seen that left you feeling let-down?

Not seen that yet ... the kids used to be mad on it but they don't seem interested anymore (and the series is a classic that would be hard to beat).

The last film I was very disappointed with was Matrix Revolutions.

Stilla, are you disappointed that they aren't puppets? My siblings and I used to rush home from school to see this. Then I watched it in my 20's on Saturday afternoons.

    But you were entertained, eh?

No - not that they were not puppets - more the story line really -- all the Tracys including Jeff going up to thunderbird 5 in Thunderbird 3 - Brains having a son - Alan being a youngish child - there not being an actual Pod on T2 - I enjoyed it and it was good clean entertainment - no bad langauge - no gratuitous sex -no gratuitous violence - good clean fun - BUT BUT BUT - something just not quite right that led to my dissapointment- it was the 2nd night and there were only 9 people in the movie theater

I saw it with the kids this afternoon, and with my brother and my wife.

It was good for what it was. Thunderbirds was never that big over here in the US, so most people won't "get it" on my side of the pond.

I had trouble staying awake at the beginning, but darn it! I just came back from Chicago, and I was tired!

It was neat looking and gadgety, it would appeal to the "Spy Kids" fans if they tried to target them in the marketing.

Lady Penelope was quite fetching, sexy and no-nonsense, wrapped up in a pink package. Thought her pink Thunderbird (cute joke!) was the coolest vehicle in the bunch.

This movie should sell a lot of toys if it catches on

You look like number 6 from the Cult series The Prisoner from the UK in the late 1960s!

If people haven't heard of the old 60's series Thunderbirds before I'm sure they do now. I was flipping through the channels last Friday and saw the show three times! One channel was showing it continuously all day and all night through the whole weekend.

    Thunderbirds was absolutely fantastic.

It was well done and very "real" for a kids animated (well, puppet) show. The special effects were great and the story lines quite deep (James Bond-ish)

I was bought up on Thunderbirds and when our kids saw it one day they were HOOKED big time. So, we now have all the DVDs

Funny, they will sit rivetted to the TV for the old kids shows like Mr Ben and Chorlton and the Wheelies (my favourite ... Frunella is brill). The stories are just so good. Compared to modern animation and super graphics that they lose interest in.
