I dreaded getting married while being a JW. I didn't want a wife who would encourage me to make the meetings, have a family study, go door2door, etc. That's why I never got baptized, left, and THEN got married!
Have you been divorced?

Try asking "have you divorced?" not "Have you been divorced?"
there is a big difference. I was disfellowshipped at the same time as my wife because I had "played around" with her before we were married.
and she was disfellowshipped at the same time for about 5 or 6 one night stands that I was totally unaware of during the short marriage.
Oh well, I'm not bitter. The fact she brought this up during her disfellowshipping did me a favour, I divorced the witnesses,
I divorced her.

I was married for nearly 7 years to a completely evil person, who is still evil to do this day, and claims to be a great witness. The elders in her hall know that she is wacko, but they won't touch her.
We divorced, and now I am happily married to another ex-witness, and I couldn't imagine anyone better than her.

Joker:
I want to know how many people remained married after leaving.
That was obvious, from your original question. So, I ask again: Why do you want to know?

Got disfellowshipped, got divorced, but the two weren't related.

I remember when it was first linked to from here. I avidly read all the "types".
