I think between the shoulders is a good choice.Celtic designs are nice for shoulders too. Mine I've wanted since my brother came home from the navy with his first wife permanently printed on his arm Many many years ago.. Mine is on my left ankle. Wanted a humming bird seen a lot of them I liked, but I got a twisted leather looking braid with beads and two tiny feathers on the end dainty femine but amagirl.

I'm still toying with the idea.
The only thing that put me off recently was hearing of a friend who had to have an MRI scan, which had to be done slower. Apparently tattoos attract heat, in the machine
(...there's an urban myth going about that damage is also caused, but I understand that it's totally unproven).
