As we all know, GOD is a spirit and to understand GOD we must learn his way of thinking.
The waters above the expanse are the angels and the waters below the expanse is humanity.
We can find GOD using symbols for certain things all over his Book, why take everything literaly ?
Thus were the heavens and the earth created,
and all the HOSTS of THEM.

Dearest 'Faithful'... sorry, but you are in error.
In BOTH cases, above the expanse AND below it, the water is the 'water' of life. Below the expanse, such 'water' is H20... which every PHYSICAL living thing... from plant and vegetation, to flying creature and winged creature (insects), wild beast and domestic animal... and creature of the sea... NEEDS... in order to live and exist... HERE... in the physical realm.
ABOVE the expanse, it is HOLY SPIRIT... 'life's water'... 'living water'... which every SPIRITUAL thing needs... to live and exist... THERE... along with the 'leaves from the Tree of Life', the 'bread of life'... manna.

For what you have stated as truth to BE true, the separation of the expanse (angels and humans, according to you), would have had to have taken place right before the flood. For prior to that time, earthling man and angels were NOT separated, but co-existed. They were separated when the angels saw the 'daughters of men' and desired to remain IN THE FLESH in order to procreate with them. By this, they 'forsook' their 'proper dwelling place'... which was the spirit realm... AND the spirit body... for their desires in the physical realm... AND the physical body that they 'put on' in order to HAVE such relations.
The divisions in the 'water', however, took place even before earthling man had been created.

If one believes that Adam was the first ( literal ) Man created , then you might be right, but if one understands the figurative use of GODs words and understands that Adam was the first one chosen by GOD to bring about his purpose and make a people unto his name, then one gets a whole new understanding of scripture...
From all of humanity GOD chose Adam, and seperated him to be a prophet. GODs laws where given to Adam and he in turn was to instruct the people in all the ways..
The woman( congregation or church )was to be a helper in bringing new ones( giving birth ) to GOD.
Gods way of thinking is not our way of thinking, because his thoughts are higher than ours. It is up to everyone of us to learn this way of thinking.
Take the tools that he has given all of us in his book and stop imagining and using mankinds understanding to bring GOD down to our level. Use that spirit within you and learn of GOD...
