As long as it is apocalyptic, my parents believe it. Show them stats from a newspaper that contradicts their favorite apocalyptic mumbo jumbo, and they treat it the same way as they they treat info that supports 587 etc.

ALL JWs are conspiracy theorists. They all believe that Satan and the demons are conspiring against them personally, and the Organization specifically. Every little thing is seen as evidence of either Satan acting against them, or God protecting them from Satans actions.

i know a guy who thought armageddon might just to be a definitive battle fought in israel, not a global destruction, and like me he never believed the junk about jw's being 'new israel' or whatever it is they say they are. not sure if that was a conspiracy theory or just a view, we used to talk a lot. he's not a jw anymore either mind you.
