The Rat Man and I are going to participate in a Murder Mystery Weekend at the Jefferson Hotel, in Jefferson, Texas starting on September 17th. The cost: the room cost, plus $110 per person for saturday, saturday night, and sunday day. All meals included. We will be players in a play and figuring out who killed who. each person will have a player part. period costume is encouraged (1860's).

Jefferson is considered one of the most haunted places in America, and in Texas. I have a friend hat stayed there in Room 19, and turned on the hot water spigots, over and over again through the night, and said that every time messages showed up in the mirror. BoooOOOOOo!

We are only about 45min. to an hour from Jefferson.....I would love to do the weekend but will have to talk to my husband about it. Maybe even if we can't make it for the full weekend we could meet up with you before you leave town for lunch or something?

OH DesiBlue.. don't be all scared n'shit. I'll be with ya! they ain't demons. that's what really irritates me about people that come from the JW's.. they believe demons are all out there. My take on that is if they are so protected by Jehovah.. why would they *have* to worry about demons. How stupid. Anyway, Desi.. just get your courage on.. and C'MON! I'll be with you. We can share a room. If a ghost thing happens we can hold each other tight and scream.. HAHAHHAAH! I'm sure the guys won't hold each other tighrt.. but at least they might believe that something happened, which is a ig plus in MY neighborhood since my husband thinks I am a nut job already.. snort. Serious.. come do the mystery weekend.. or if not.. just come eat dinner with us. I hope you decide to do it. I hpe we have some Texans that aren'tso chicken and come to hang out with us..

I'll talk to my husband about it tonight. We are going to have some big changes in Sept. to deal with so I'm not sure if I could go for the whole weekend even if I could get up the courage....but I'm sure we could definitely meet up with you at some point for a meal or something.....then you could tell us about your ghostly experiences.

I'll talk to him tonight though and let ya know.

Oh, and someone else you could invite is Lyin' eyes....she isn't too far from me which puts her pretty close to Jefferson also.

Country girl , to more i read your post the more intrigued i am . Actually this sounds really fun ,kinda like CLUE. You know if i could get their i would go , i would still bring myself a diaper in case of, well you know. But his sounds more and more fun. Please let us know how it was.

KLS: LOL! You're so funny! There's a lot of different hotels that do this around the country. I've never been to one, but I heard they are just a blast. Although I am not sure if you actually have to *act* or anything, I think it could be compared to a game of clue. The lady said that they will be sending us some kind of loose "script" to follow, after she asked about our characteristics. Since my husband is so shy, he will be getting more of an "Inspector Clusseau" type of character. I'll most likely get the flaming hussy with the big mouth character.. hehehe. That would be so fun if you could come.

DesiB: Let us know! Whereabouts in Texas do you live? I am looking forward to going to Jefferson anyway because it has so many historical places, and I love East Texas with all the big, beautiful pine trees! I planted some pine trees at our house because I love them so much, but my colt ate them and left nubs. He was bored that day.. heheh.
