ex husband:(the one with the life insurance policy on me) i aint married to her no more.. i'm not obligated to do it.

current s.o. : we arent married i dont gotta do it..

adult kid: i got my own life , i dont gotta do it.

figure the state will torch me and toss my remains in a box somewhere.

You REALLY want to have evil thoughts?... My brother thought of this one... Give your HUSBAND the Catholic funeral.

Our parents are getting up in years and I told him I don't know how I'll be able to arrange her JW funeral when the elder's won't talk to me. He said, "Just leave it up to me. She'll have a Catholic funeral." I told him that was just too evil. He can't do it, but I'm a LOT more deprogrammed now. BAHAHAHAHA!

Hubby and I have talked this over, and we both had the same feelings. To be cremated, and I want my ashes sprinkled over my favorite place---Cape Cod. He says he wants his out over Lake Ontario---five minutes from here---but he spends most of his time fishing in it anyway, LOL!

I suppose I should have a wake (NO NOT AWAKE!) at our town funeral parlor for the few friends we've made here, just for one of those two-hour deals in the evening...nothing elaborate, and tell everyone to wish me well by having a party!!!

I wouldn't expect that any JWs would show up.....why would they bother? And that's really fine with me!

Hmmm...noneof my old witness 'friends ' would go, thats for sure..and bloody good job too as theyrd ruin it with all the tutting.............I know my friends would turn it into a fiasco. lol

ive jusy=t been to a cuban beach party in an english country garden with live jazz and folk music and some dance stuff from a dj in a marquee ...god they were all so YOUNG ....but they danced like demons....my friends are a bit bohemien and arty weird..but alot of fun,so who knows what my funeral would turn out like? they'd probably turn it intoa creative fest lol

it would evolve over the day and end on a heavy guilty Irish/catholic drinking session....i've decided on a wicker coffin ..and im being buried in a wood,,we have a local company that specialise in earth friendly funerals.......either that or you can set light to my body and push me downstream.......or strap me to a rocket and fireme into the sun...... i definately want lots of music and fireworks and a video of my best moments to tear at the heartstrings in case they forget why theyre there...lol

if you had your funeral in a Church, would your JW friends or relatives come to it?

I don't know & don't care. All I want is for someone to lean over the casket & say "Look! He's breathing!"

If anything, it's a good way to show the Witnesses for the truly hateful people they are! I'm sure my JW relatives would have to stand outside the Baptist church and not go in for the memorial, and then everyone would truly "get a witness". That'll be the final irony.

I don't even want a funeral. I want a grand party with an open bar where everyone celebrates my life and has a good ol' time. I wouldn't even mind if in my open casket, I was there with a beer in my hand..

My wife and I discussed this a couple of years ago. She declared that she wouldn't come if it were in a church. I guess that's no longer a problem.

Funerals are a big thing in this part of Scotland, with whole communities turning out.
Were I to die here it would probably be attended by hundreds from all over the island (the tragic funeral of one young man of 30 was attended by over 800). The menfolk would carry the coffin in turn, as the womenfolk looked on from afar. It seems an appropriate farewell, in a sea-going community...

    SP:Life? You have a life???
    Where do you buy those?
    LOL
