    Yeah, I know. I've just been soooo dang busy with work...we missed the Orcas this year, much to our disappointment.

    Maybe there'll be another Fest soon, and we can cross paths again (the dinner that Gretchen set up was great! )

    You bring up a good point: we all have our own way of learning, and helping. Some seem to learn and help on db's; some seem to do the same by the phone ; some via instant messenger; some by way of meet-ups or fests; etc. etc.

    There's no instrinsic difference between any of these forms of inter-personal communication, except insofar as they may offer to a greater or lesser degree some measure of depersonalization: "I'm safely esconced in my computer cubicle, behind a firewall, and therefore I can 'say' things that I'd never dare say face-to-face."

    And, to the sincerely humourous point of this thread: It isn't how many posts a person makes that means squat; it's what effect those posts have on others, and, most importantly, to ourselves.

    Ross is a man of honor, sincere intention, and remarkable self-honesty. Thus I can poke a bit of fun at him, because I have every good reason to know where he's coming from; as he does me.

    I wonder if there's a message board anonymous. I think sometimes a lot of us could use it if there is one. Could be worse though, we could all be addicted to internet porn or cyber sex or sumpin' worse.
