You pick a dummy up off a street that's so dirty you don't even like to walk on it, give it a good suck to be sure it's clean for the baby,

For us Americans, a dummy is a pacifier. Auntfanny, a dummy is doll, mannequin .......... something human looking anyway!! I kept reading your post and wondering why I would pick up a dirty dummy and put it in my mouth, LOL.

When a 2yr old and 1yr old, manage to outrun and outsmart you, and yet they end up getting the deepest of your affections.

The critters got into my makeup bag yesterday while i was fixing dinner, when i walked into their room, both of them had lipstick and eyeshadow on!

Not to mention that the two year old is suddenly tall enough to reach the counter and managed to get into the cookie bag.

Yes, we have the teletubbies song. Dinky dinky, dipsy, lala, and po. Clearly an idea conceived while under the influence of psychadelic drugs.

Simplesally, sorry. I knew in some part of my brain it was a pacifier but got in the habit of saying dummy while I lived in England. I've never lived in America since so I never broke the habit.
