If it is a "normal" family or life you are looking for... it does not exist. I'll let you in on a little secret... all of those "perfect" families have more than their far share of problems and skeletons in closets.

Every family and every life is different... your life is the "normal" life for you. Just take what good things you have and run with them... and at the same time watch for new good things you can add.

Have you ever watched the movie Pleasant Ville? It's one of my favorites.

Wanted to add an Amen to this! Why just last week I was balling my eyes out just wanting a normal family or to feel loved by someone. Then I realized all the beautiful people around me who's lives had touched mine, and whom I had effected as well. I remember Lyin Eyes telling me one time that the friends we've made through this board are like a giant family, unfortunately not too many of us are normal :). Who wants to be part of something normal anyway, where's the fun in that? Everyone at some point has a feeling of needing to belong, it's a natural thing. Unfortunately sometimes we dont end up belonging with whom we'd like to, so we have to make do with where we do belong. I'm very happy that you belong here *muah*. I dont know what your situation is, or even if my rant pertains to it at all, but I sure would like to find out.
