eBay is probably as much as 50% counterfeit goods... its a joke and ive been ripped off a few times with fake stuff. Its really disgusting cos these people are not only affecting big companies, but also the smaller independant companies who NEED to sell their stuff to put food on their table.

Kind of a mobile Garage sale - everyone brings their unwanted items to a specific location to sell them from their 'Car Boots'. It's a craze that's been sweeping the UK for the past few years.....
There'll always be a market for counterfeiters - there are people who want something for nothing, so will knowingly buy goods that 'look as good' as the originals, and some people who are naive / deceived / unfortunate enough to be suckered by the counterfeiters.

Dunno.... I've never had the privelege of visiting NYC yet, but hope to someday. If I do, I'll keep an eye out for the sidewalk vendors!! Sounds interesting!!

Here in NC USA they are called Yard Sales. Someone gathers all the unwanted junk from their attic and basement and puts it in their yard to sell to anyone who passes by. It's a buyers choice. It's a way to get rid of the things you don't want without giving it away. I don't stop at these Yard Sales, but I know some people who do and they find some good stuff. I have a friend who has found many cameras for his collection this way, he sells the ones he doesn't need on Ebay and makes some money.
