one of the last service meetings i attended we were counseled to not read newspapers or watch news so much and how biased they are and how they do stories to attack gods orginization since they are after all working for satan.. anyway it made me jump online and read every paper i could find. i was freaking isolated enough they werent taking NEWSPAPERS away from me for goodness sake!

(wonder if my being in west ky had anything to do with it ie:bill bowen news stories)

I think the epitome of this statement is the way they think the world is against them. The governments and especially the media are all controlled by Satan and everything in the world is designed to thwart Jehovah's Witnesses in this 'time of the end'.

Yes. It is thrilling indeed to see events unfold in the world to today that follow bible prophecy. Like umm floods and earthquakes, and umm people being really bad and stuff like that. Remember the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. But aren't we glad we have the troof?

A JW couple I used to know have had terrible misfortune! Graham suffers from paralysing arthritis and Yvette's health is very poor, including intestinal cancer leading to a colostomy and several bouts of hepititus B. Their son, Nathan died at 18 from A-plasmic anaemia (which could have been cured with a blood transfusion) and I have just learned that their daughter Sheree was recently involved in a car accident leaving her with permanent brain damage. My heart is in mourning for them. Still they follow the JW ways. They are SURE that all their troubles will be over when the new system arrives and they will see their son again and their daughter will return to her former health. I feel the WT organisation has a lot to answer for. They lead good, kind hearted people to believe in total lies! Shame on them!

Reading newspapers and watching tv shows that expose the Witnesses is something the leadership has tried to legislate. If they can get the followers to not look at a show like 60 Minutes, they DO have real control!!
