How bitter are you?

Right on Jgat! There are people who hold onto their pain & wear it as a badge, repeatedly putting it in everyone else's face instead of at least attempting to make lemonade out of lemons. Acknowledge & move on, I say!

Just took a jigger of Jgnat and added a dash of Gypsy...shook well and poured out something quite refreshing. Everyone needs a sip of this concoction. Life is indeed too short!

    mac, lovin' it class!

Out of the Org, my recent experience was similar EXCEPT the people who are still Witnesses

joined in the wedding party and didn't bother shunning anybody. Why?

    BECAUSE OF YOU, WATCHTOWER!

Yes, YOU! You, the 'Theocrats' who DO NOTHING when confronted with corrupt elders

and unloving congregations. EVEN WITHOUT MY EXPERIENCE regarding my daughter's

molestation, most of these people have become DISCOURAGED ON THEIR OWN, due to

the contrast between reality - and the fake 'spiritual paradise' they're told about.

You, Watchtower, YOU ARE REAPING WHAT YOU'VE SOWN - the almost

total loss of the next generation of Witnesses.

and me? I'm less bitter as time progresses

because WE ARE WINNING THIS GUERILLA WAR with the Watchtower Society

    and it feels good.

There was an elder's wife who, upon seeing me at a meeting after my Mom passed away asked me if I was still in the hall because she hadn't seen me. I explained I'd been spending weekends going back and forth to Mom's (5 hours drive and I worked full time during the week) and that she had died. She looked at me, said "I heard about that" and turned around and walked away.

I had a 'best friend' who did everything with me...she has strong JW ties (several generations, bethelites, COs, DOs etc). She and her husband not only stole upwards of $5,000 from me, they also perpetrated lies about my character to elders (unfounded...I never was called before a JC or elder body for ANY reason and their lies were found to be simply that...lies). Nothing was ever done to them judicially, even though I had proof and more than one elder witnessed an exchange between us where they admitted to it.

My study conductor, a pioneer and elder's wife spent no social time with me after I was baptized (oh, except for the one hour of my study she was allowed to count...funny how my studies could be 3-4 hours prior to baptism).

3 months after my Mom died and 4 months before my Dad died I was limited to getting to meetings as I was working full time and running both Dad's care and household as well as my own. I was in touch with elders weekly asking for my magazines to be picked up for me so I could collect them when I could. I asked for telephone hookup. Those things never occurred. Instead I was 'marked' for lack of meeting attendance.

At a time when a 'church' and those who claim to love Jesus and God should be rallying to support a congregation member in good standing, my congregation let me down. My sister in another congregation saw it; asked elders in her hall to try to help me with magazines and meetings. I went when I could. The congregation rejected me LONG before I decided that I'd had enough of being treated like crap. I've been through enough to certainly be justified in feeling bitter.

HOWEVER. I'm not in the least bit bitter. I gave over 10 years of my life to this organization and I did that of my own free will. I'm thankful for the experience it gave me...I now know with crystal clarity what I don't, and what I won't accept in my life. In addition to not being bitter, I feel sorry for those still deluded by the Satanic and Pharasaic influence in the congregations. The Governing Body and many of the Elder bodies (if not certain members of the 'rank and file') are certainly bloodguilty and also guilty of heinous activities in the name of Jehovah. I pity those who are still deluded, blinded and 'like sheep without a shepherd.' Maybe one day they can find their way to the 'real life' and 'freedom.'

Now, I've answered your question, please do me the courtesy of answering mine. I think I've asked you before but you never did answer...

How do you justify to yourself coming to a board that the Governing Body has monitored as 'apostate,' that the majority of the members would be considered 'apostate' by the rules set down by the WTS? What do you think would happen if you went to tell the elders in your hall about your activities here? Do you think that you're being honest to the congregation, having spent time with the 'dirty things of the world' and bringing that dirt into the congregation via your association? I think if you want to be honest, as all JWs are supposed to be, that you would go and let them know just who you are, what your nickname is, why you've been coming here. I'm sure confession would make you feel better...

How do you justify to yourself

    I do what I want.

Some things are definitely dirt. Other things I don't mind sharing.

I'm sure confession would make you feel better...
    I have nothing to confess.

Interesting. So post your real name, congregation, and a way to contact you on the forum. Then sit back and wait for the phone to ring.

I predict you won't be waiting long.

    Let's exchange information.

To be honest, I don't hand out my info online to anyone. Here or any other forum (and I belong to many). It's a safety and security thing (I have been stalked before in 'real life', and I'd rather not repeat that experience, even online). I'm sure you can understand being cautious and careful, after all, I am a female and therefore more vulnerable.

While I'm not surprised you won't publish your info, I do find it interesting that you didn't answer the one question I was particularly hoping you would...what you thought your elders would do if they knew you came here and posted. But then we probably both know the answer to that, us both being the honest type, right? So it's probably not even worth your posting back. I mean I've been newly branded an apostate and by even talking to me this much you've endangered your relationship with Jehovah right? Presumably that's of utmost importance to you.

Nice chatting with you. I'm sure we'll see you around the forums.

what you thought your elders would do if they knew you came here and posted.

    "concerned".

talking to me this much you've endangered your relationship with Jehovah right?

    Not at all.

    See you around.
