  GOOD vs. EVIL
  
  People usually imitate the God they worship don't they? My background:born 1957 3rd generation JW to pioneer parents. I have moved about and sojourned in many congregations in various States.I was a devout JW remained chaste all my years until my exit 1992.I at one point in my life developed a mnemonic technique to memorize over 2,000 scripts from nwt. I was devout and have been around the block a few times.... I also have 20 years exposure to the world in my secular employment with hard boiled construction workers. This serves as a control group for my findings. Conclusion:The Jehovah's Witnesses are the most sleazy nefarious malicious willful wanton cruel mean predators. My beloved maternal JW Grandmother EAT HER OWN YOUNG.She was the most vicious bitch.My JW elder dad was a complete ass-"WHOLE" they were both lying conniving psychopaths. I have seen the most cruelest abuse perpetrated by many Jehovah's Witnesses EVERYWHERE in the name of their God Jehovah. I wonder if even the demons will f**k each other over for a percentage the way that dog-eat-dog Jdubs do to each other. I took exception to Ray Franz prima facie describing JW's as basically honest decent folks.That has not been my experience. I have come to the conclusion that EVIL (Satan) must exist.That this evil is ORGANIZED and appears to come from a central source.It also cloaks the evil in deception,ministers of righteousness/angels of light.Just like the Bible say's. JW's who have never met or know each other act EXACTLY the sleazy same! If the evil is organized (James 3:15)James 3 15 Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil"]

Then,there may be a benevolent powerful God after all who who will triumph over the evil. At this point in my prolonged recovery i am still agnostic and ambivalent.I would still like to die 'saved'. Just wishful fantasy? What do you think? It sure makes me wonder.

  It sounds like you have a lot of negative energy Danny that needs exorcizing.

  I would not describe the average JW as you do my distant friend, but I understand your vision.

  People are people, regardless of their loyalty and affiliation to organizations. The same basic needs, mixed up with selfish desire/power trips.

  Personally I haven't met anybody on the face of this earth who I trust 100% and that is sad (and that includes me, I change with the wind at times).

  The dead are judged by what is written in the books, I hope that your words about your Grandmom aren't written in there. If you can forgive her for her treatment of you, it would be better for you and just in God's eyes. I had a grandmom too, I know it is hard to forgive sometimes, but it can be done.

  I don't think god could care less if you forgive them, Undaunted Danny. And they probably couldn't care less either. I don't even think forgiving is relevant, since what's done is done. But after years of hating my mother for raising me a JW, I realised the only person I was really hurting was myself. That's sad, but sometimes it's just what we need to do, and we move on when we're ready to.

  At this point in my prolonged recovery i am still agnostic and ambivalent.I would still like to die 'saved'.

  My feeling is that if there's a god, he made us agnostic and ambivalent and likes us that way, so we don't need to be saved. I'm sure he'd be bored to death if he only had true believers.

  The people who cower under the broad umbrella of Jehovah's feckless world empire live lives of half-shadow and half-truth. The half that is true is the part they show to the world at large. The smile is as true as a plaster saint's smile. The happiness is as true as the applause of the runner up in the Miss America contest. The unity is as true as the hoods who conspire to hold up a 7-11.

  Other than that--they've forgotten where they put the true truth about themselves. They hide what they are from themselves and each other and drain off the pain in secret tears and vicious gossip.

  A Moose Head on a lodge hall wall has as much life in it as the average JW sitting in the Kingdom Hall; hands folded, head tilted, fixed grin aimed at the sock puppet on the platform mouthing inanity.

  They are honest allright. Honest to goodness self-liars. They do to themselves what kids do to Jack-o-lanterns to make them grin; hollow out the middle and throw it in the trash.

  Aren't we all envious of their brotherhood? It is the brotherhood of a slab of marble nested in long rows at the local cemetary. The handsome gleam distracts the casual eye from the box of bones beneath.

  The God they worship is a hasty scarecrow in a half-plowed field of thistles. He flutters his terrors under wayward winds and indifferent moonlight.
