Golf/Guest 77: I attended public schools with black children.
Where and what year?
It took Federal troops to get black children and white children to go to school together. When I graduated from High School in 1965, we had one black person in our school. In Junior High School, in my last year, my all-white school (in the middle of a now black neighborhood) switched to all-black and I was put on a school bus each day to send me to another school in a distant neighborhood with NO black kids at all. In the deep south many ways were found to get around any integration laws for a long, long time. Keep in mind this was in the 60's!
The legacy of the 1950's, as far as HUMAN RIGHTS are concerned, is a lovely one if you are white and a male (as I said before). I want you to shock me and tell me you are not a white male. :)

In the early fifties, Abraham Lincoln School in the South End of Boston. Three of my older brothers also went to the same school. No, we're not black.
