: What does everybody think of the revelation book it is the red one,I am breezing thru it at the moment I can't believe how deep it is and thier explanation for each scripture.

    In WatchtowerWorld, "deep" means:

Bullshit the WTS can't explain so they make it look so complicated no one else can understand it, either.

When I was a dub, I always felt guilty because I couldn't understand all that "spiritually deep." I didn't stop to consider the fact that God is not supposed to be a God of confusion and was only a God for those priviledged few who could understand those "deeper" things.

It never dawned on me that "deep" actually meant "convoluted, incomprehensible bullshit."

It was exactly the same for me. I used to study this stuff and think that there was something wrong with
me because I just couldn't seem to make sense of any of it. Now I realise it was just total and utter bollocks.

The only trumpet being blown in the revelation climax book is their own, but then its not unusual to see JWs blowing their own trumpet is it? Its perhaps louder than the 7 trumpets of Rev could ever be!

    Self fame is no fame.

EVERYTHING is about the society. Revisions were handed out as we were studying it for the 3rd time.

Technically we have books in the literature room ready to give out, but without the revisions?

WHAT!!! have they revised the Revelation book..... are they studying it again at the book study?

    Tell me more....

The Revelation book was the only society book I truely studied properly, colour coded highlighter pens the works. I was recently baptised and keen at the time.

Same here. I usually gave up and said to myself well at least somebody got it figured out, all the while saying to myself it cant be this convoluted and actually be true.

No they are not studying it again!

But it was studied three times in the late 90's. When it was studied the 2nd or 3rd time those revisions were handed out. All the books in our literature room are orig. no revisions

    "self fame is no fame"

    How correct!

I think to understand this book you have (as they said in the clint eastwood movie about the stolen jetfighter "think in russian" not just speak it) surround

yourself in a new way of thinking in which your whole life revolves on speaking the "mother tongue". As we know dubs have buzz words, and mannerisms.

You have to act and think this way 24/7 and then you can think about understanding the twist and lies

I had been "in" 10 years when we studied the Rev book the first time, around 1988 or '89. And it was the first book in all those years that "felt" to me like they were taking a monkey-wrench and literally "forcing" the scriptures to apply to the FDS. It literally made my stomach hurt ('gut instinct' was kicking in, but my brain did not get in on the action for a lotta more years... thanks to the internet and JWD).

Better Late Than Never. (Some of us are slow, I guess).

As for ebay, hmmm, I have a TON of old lit. But it's all 'marked up,' with underlining and yellow/pink/blue markers, lol. Besides, didn't they always tell us we should 'burn' pagan books and other items? lol. :-D

PS: As for the bible book of Revelation itself, the explanations on Christian TV make a WHOLE LOT MORE SENSE than anything the WT ever came up with re: their FDS-applications. WT-ism, I since learned, is nothing but "Replacement Theology," ie, everywhere Jerusalem is mentioned, they apply it in a 'spiritual' sense, heaven, etc. And everywhere Israel is mentioned, they apply it, not to the literal land of Israel, but to the NT Church. Fascinating. It changes the entire spectrum of interpretation. (Replacement Theology was started by, guess who? The CC around the 3rd or 4th century because they wanted to separate ALL NT-biblical-historical connection to the Jews, period, over-and-out. And WT has done a great job of going along with that).

I'm curious for any who are still in JW-land: Does the WT not yet recognize that Israel being back in her physical land is The Biggest Prophetic Fulfillment of all Time? and was the 'beginning' of the last days?
