When I was a kid and on vacation in Florida about 20 years ago, My Dad had mentioned about an "apostate group" in florida and that it was called "jehovah's christian witnesses" supposedly they even had their own kingdom halls, how many others here are aware of this group and do they even exist still?

This phrase is used on the 2001 wt cd 467 times, starting in 1951. It's not really relevant though, as i doubt that the wt has legally registered it.

actually i believe that there are certain "entities" that the WT owns and they are named "Jehovah's Christian Witnesses". i'm not sure, i'll have to look it up.
Over the years, Jehovah's Witnesses have been accused of not being Christian, because of the unusual understanding they have about the nature of Jesus, and their denial that he was God incarnate. In order to counteract this critisizm and reinforce the conception that they are Christian, mostly to their own members, they began inserting the label "Jehovah's Christian Witnesses" in their literature. For a while, it became a very popular euphamism in their own minds.
Unfortunately, morons that they are, they forgot to actually register the name. Meanwhile, another group did register it. So, the Society had to stop using it.
A search on "Jehovah's Christian Witnesses" will yield a few defunct links to outreach ministries, so I think the new group withered.
At least, that's how I heard it. Can anyone verify or add to this?

The use of this phrase was applied to a new order at the time they were setting up new orders and making Bethelites take the oath of poverty. I beleive it was in the late 80's or early ninties.
The name "Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses" is also used, for example in the public service announcements that have been produced.
This was an urban legend among JWs. That there was this highly organized breakaway apostate group that called itself "Jehovah's Christian Witnesses." There were accompanying stories of people who got confused by the similarity of the name and ended up being sucked in by the apostates. Except when I heard the stories, it was always California.
Probably another fabrication to scare us into believing the apostates had some special magic words that if you heard even a couple of their magic words you would instantly turn against the "truth." LOL
I remember seeing a similiarly named group in the Seattle/South King County yellow pages before I moved to Eastern Washington. Since I've been back, I have not looked them up. I believe that they are/were a christian group that specialized in ministering to JWs. I remember talking with an elder about them one time, the impresion I got is that they were not apostates--having not been Jws.
I just looked at dexonline.com for Seattle, and could not find them. Oh well.
