Suggetions for handling a difficult situation?

  I told her that i called, I didnt want her to hear it from someone else, incase it did get out..

  I told her that we might have saved her life. I then started to tell her some of the family suff.. She didnt take it too well, infact she didnt want to talk about it anymore.

  All in all she is fine, she hugged me and said she loves me. She is now playing with her baby sisters..

  When the girl's uncle finds out hopefully he won't be in a position to do *anything* to *anyone*.
  
  I was going to suggest that if your daughter didn't know the name of the girl - schools have photographs of all of the kids (either copies of individual photos, or class photos) I know cos some boys in my year when I was in school got busted for something that way when an irate passer-by came up to school(!), I'm sure most schools are the same.

  I plan on going to school with her on monday for atleast half a day to make sure she is ok..

  I will talk to the principal to make sure they found out who it was, if not then i will suggest the picture thing..

  It was hard Lee, getting that stuff out like that, we both started to tear up..

  It was just really hard..

  And its hard knowing that somewhere out there, that little girl is having to explain what happened to her too complete strangers...

  Have you prepared her for the possibility that CPS might want to talk to her about what the little girl told her? Or is it too soon to think about that?
