Well, I dunno if I would call it breaking news, but a friend recently told me that the Society(TM) is releasing two more videos. They will be available on DVD.

One is a drama about David, and

    get ready for it...

the other is Young People - what will you do with your life?

anyone notice the title above? Yep, it's the same title on the oversized glossy brochure for young people the Society(TM) released in 2002.

I mean, how much can you say about recruiting and keeping young people in this org?

Bethel, Gilead School, MTS school, Pioneer School..

For a start, how many people actually GET to go to Gilead School? You have to be married, have served 10 years or more as a regular pioneer, and be prepared to sell house, car and whatever.

Bethel - Most kids don't yet own their own home, but it would mean sacrificing their car (possibly), clearing their debts, and preparing to live off a stipend of $90 a month. Five days a week are OUT, 5 1/2 days a week are in. All your spare time (did I say spare time?) is spend going to meetings, more meetings and field service.

Ministerial Training School - for SINGLE ministerial servants who have served for at LEAST two consecutive years. You will spend 2 months learning about the Org and then be sent somewhere you've never heard of with lots of problems - any takers?

Pioneer School - A two week school for those who have the desire to sell even more magazines and books than they are doing now. Qualifications - must have served as a regular pioneer for at LEAST a year.

So, all those young people out there (18-35)

    Forget school

    Forget a career

    Forget a living wage

Just sign up now for the Bethel Open House Day. A representative will be on hand to answer any questions.

Yes, young people should forget about education and spend their lives in servitude to the WTS. That's where their real future is!

    Wow !!!!!

A whole new DVD espousing the virtues of working toward those coveted positions of passing microphones and cueing up songs on a CD player. And for some reason if you happen to fall short of these goals.......well, you're just not good enough to be "used" by Le Sock Puppet Jehovah.......aren't you?

Looks like they're beginning to recognize that the future of their organization is leaving so fast the door never closes behind them and are taking steps to neutralize the issue.....not that i think it'll do any good.

The signs the watchtower is loosing their battle of only keeping the ignorant in their masses is becoming more evident every day. They have gone to using marketing techniques to not only keep the few gullible members they still have but also try and attract a few feeble new ones. I thought the TV ads they started to use were the first sign, now DVD's for the bopper market? They are loosing their blue hair market to attrition and they recognize their old time technique of using the rod of discipline has now been outlawed by Caesar's laws and their members could loose their kiddies if they continue to beat them into submission like the WT leaders would like.

Next thing you know they will try and come up with a video game for the Xbox and Play Station. They can have earthquakes, balls of brimstone fire and lighting bolts as weapons and have their super hero Jehoba toss them at buildings and preschoolers to show his power. They could have little rooms in the back of kingdom halls set up to play the games so the kids don't have to sit through their boring repetitious meetings.

Their old school technique of scaring the hell out of people by myths of the end of the world being right around the corner is no longer working. The bopper market just isn't buying into it any more and they now have the law behind them to keep them from getting their little asses whipped and the fear of god being shoved down their throats. The JW leaders see the have failed and they are loosing their religious market share. Every time they do something like this, it gives exJW's one more solid piece of evidence that the religion is just a cult being run by morons groping at straws to try and keep their kingdom hall seats and bank accounts full. Maybe they should just stick with slave labor refurbishing buildings in New York and change their nonprofit religious status into a very profitable real-estate development company. I think by their recent self promotion efforts, they have seen they have to use commercial marketing techniques to attract new customers as well as keep some of their old ones.

They are loosing their battle and they know it, every time they do something like produce a DVD entertainment movie and run TV ads, it shouts it load and clear. Their desperation is shining bright and it really cracks me up. Next thing you know you'll see florescent "new and improved" stickers on the watchtower and awake magazine covers. And their people wonder why, they tell them to stay off the Internet. Open communication and the revealing of the real truth about the cult is killing them and they know it. Soon evidence of a member going onto an apostate website will be a disfellowshipping act. Their desperation is not only extremely evident, it's predictable. I think a web site history checker servant might be in the working, just like the Bethel apostate web site spy servant who is reading this post right now. Hi ya buddy, you get to turn in your time for reading this don't you?

Keep it up Watchtower! Your actions are speaking much louder then your words! You can fool your old blue hair customers but you can't fool us or the younger generation. Your ass is grass and the truth is the lawnmower.

You know seven006, I'm really surprised they've never come out with Spiritual Coloring Books for the younger ones. Something so simple could help them a lot, and also prevent the children from becoming bored at the meetings (less beatings in the bathrooms)

...which would be "placed" w the kidlets for a recommended donation (closely monitored). While this would be a terrific little money maker, the real bucks are in the mandatory accessory: Bible Character Crayons, manufactured a Bethyl and designed to wear out about once a week.
