It was brought to my attention that Mormons own the Marriot Hotel chain and , as other religious corporation we know, they get tax breaks for being a "charitable/religious corporation". Has someone else heard thisabout the Marriot?

As I understand it, the founder of the chain is a Mormon. I don't know if the church is involved. Whenever I have stayed at one, there is a book of Mormon in the dresser drawer.
They're good hotels.

JW Marriott and his wife founded the hotel chain. They started with a root beer stand in Washington, DC and it grew from there. They are Mormons so a percentage of their income does go to the church. I don't believe the church owns any stock. When I use to travel for business they were my preferred place to stay all over the country.

I stayed at a Marriot this summer, and didn't notice a BOM...I did, however, notice they offered adult pay-per-views.

I stayed at one and I had to be baptized as a mormon before they let me go. And they didn't let me order porn, just propaganda from the LDS videos.
