I take care of a very special lady several days a week. Her name is Kristy. She's mid-30's, looks like Julia Roberts (!!!), with a gorgeous smile and has a wonderful sweetness and a dauntless spirit that's difficult to match.
Kristy was discovered to have Multiple Sclerosis approx. 10 yrs ago, then when her symptoms began progressing relatively fast some years after that and she began losing her ability to be physically mobile, the docs determined that she also has CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy), a disease which mimics MS, but at an accelerated rate and is actually treatable.
Kristy had begun taking the treatments for CIDP and was progressing very nicely toward autonomy once again when she received another blow. She was found to have cancer. She's undergone the radiation and chemo for the cancer and the docs recently have declared her "cured" from it, but at the expense of the CIDP treatments, which are to commence in the near future once again.
Right now, Kristy is dealing with nausea, and problems with her blood and nutritional intake, etc. that are worrying her and keeping her depressed and worried. The docs are trying to get her back on the road to recovery from the CIDP and working on these problems as they crop up, but.....
Some of yall may realize that all these crises together over the years have somewhat knocked the wind out Kristy's sails, per se.
Do any of yall have any encouraging words or experiences yall'd like to share with Kristy? If so, I plan to print out your responses to Kristy and take her a whole slew of encouragement and love when I see her this next Thursday.
Thanks,
