Mulan, Personally I'd stay away from american made cars. They are by most accounts inferior. Hate to admit it but German, Swiss and Japanese all produce more reliable more economical tin cans on wheels. carmel

Isn't it weird how every time you take your car in to be looked at, a few days later it starts making funny noises? Hmmm.....

Oh, Mulan, I forgot. Don't do the shocks

That had to be done, for safety reasons. We need to continue driving the car until we can arrange to start shopping for another one.............about two weeks time. It wasn't a big investment, so not a big issue for us.

Mulan you should seriously look at a hybrid vehicle. Toyota Prius is a good example..

And they have a neat energy saver link that lets you calculate how much money you can save.

    Sure beats an SUV

some cars just keep going with minimal maintenance,. Others obviously are lemons. I have had both.

I know what you mean about having car payments.....miniature mortgages to be payed every month. I do not want that either.

I have a Volvo DL wagon that just hit 200,000 miles and is still in excellent mechanical and body condition ( still shiny and no rust). Why get another?

    regards to joy and steve
