I have been partial to a Chilean Merlot - until that fateful day when I helped to polish off a full wine box of the stuff.

Nothing fancy. Boone's Farm is just fine.

Well I don't drink wine often, nor anything else either, really, but I can tell you that what I cannot handle is a sweet drink or sweet wine. Ugh. Other people like it, I prefer mine dry.
As for Boone's farm, I didn't know they still made that! Strawberry Hill and something by Boone's Farm was what we drank in High School. That plus the fact that my dad was an amateur vintner of sweet wine (dandelion, believe it or not), and I can't even stand to think of it!
Dry, oaky, with a nice fruit finish. Syrah and Chardonney are two others I like.

Gretchen-OH, they still make Boone's if you ever want any-you just come on over. Anyway, I didn't think anyone outside of my family knew what Dandelion wine was--my grandmother always said "nothing brings on the smell of the Depression-era quite like dandelion wine."
