    Ahhh Farkel is back !!!

That's good execept I would change this line (first example and last sentence):

Watchtower leaders prey upon trusting members of the victim?s family, seeking to carry them away from the victim.

I would change away from the victim to away from family.

This one is definitely a keeper!

The watchtower once again conveniently forgets its own history. It condemns apostasy, yet the society itself was born of apostasy. Didn't they leave older organized religions at one time? Weren't converts encouraged to witness? to family and friends to help them become apostates of their former religions? Didn't JWs picket churches and hand out leaflets? Has the watchtower ever spoken about other religions in anything but an abusive way?

I was a Catholic before I was a JW. Unlike the JW elders, the Catholic priests did not persecute me when I left, or even when I had doubts. They didn't hammer on my door like cops on a drug raid. They didn't publicly slander or defame me. They didn't try to destroy my family. The Catholic priests did not stake out my home the way the elders did. My Catholic family did not treat me like I'm a walking, talking, tumor.

Too bad most JWs aren't very objective. If they were they would realize the harshest criticizm of the Watchtower and its practices comes from within its own publications.

Liz2cool, not to take away from Farkel post but i was brought up Catholic also before my recruitment into cult world and loved God and believed him to be loving and just till i became a cult member, after that my whole feeling of God had changed into terror and death and now my thoughts of God are none. Your post thoughts are all so true.

Often, they want to take others with them. Rather than going out and making disciples, many apostates seek to ?draw away the disciples after themselves:

Statements like that would make one think that some don't even get it about natural familial affection

we are gods and a jealous god has a guarded concern about those close to him

We ?avoid them? by steering clear of their reasonings-whether in person, in printed form, or on the Internet. Why do we take such a stand? First, because God?s Word directs us to do so, and we trust that Jehovah always has our best interests at heart.

Ya know, their right! I remember reading somewhere in the book of James where it mentions to stay clear of a guy named Farkel who posts apostate lies on the internet.

    I inadvertantly said,

: The local City Overseer denied UNDER OATH that the WTS had a booklet on preparing for Child Custody cases, even though the Judge had that booklet in his possession. He denied under oath that the WTS had published the "Organized" (to Accomplish Our Ministry, or its latest incarnation) book. He refused to read direct quotes from the WTS publications because he said they were from "apostate web sites."

Come to think about it, he was right! WTS quotes ARE from apostates!
