Really what do you look for to know that your husband, wife, girlfriend or what ever the relationship might be that they do love you? How can you tell it is love or just a matter of convenience ?

I've been in many, MANY meaningless relationships and have truly only been in love twice in my life. The difference was when I felt the other person truly supported, appreciated, was patient with, compassionate, passionate, willing to work at all the big and small things and was willing to try and understand me. And he really got that I was ready, willing and able to be all of those things for him.
At the core, I guess it was when I could allow myself to let my guard completely down and finally feel completely vulnerable. At the same time I realized that he would not exploit that because he loved me and understood how hard it was for me to break down those barriers. Hmmmm, hope that made sense. That's what love felt like for me....

I know this is going to be hard to believe...but at times I can be a bit uuummmm "difficult" Only a man who really loves me would put up with me at those times and still be there in the morning with a kiss and "I love you" for me.

Not me! I'm a cinch to live with.
Seriously kls, I don't know if this helps at all...but I have never had any doubts about it.
Couldn't quite figure out why but that's another story.

I've never had any doubts either. I don't think I'm all that easy to live with. I am willful and independent and won't be pushed around, and I stand up for what I see are my rights. But he comes home every night, tells me he would rather spend time with me than with anyone else, and he tells me he loves me all the time.
I think if you wonder if you are loved, then there might be a problem. Just a thought.

What do I look for? A woman who says she sees what I am as well as my potential. Yeah, I know it's a line, but what a beautiful one it is.

When your guy twists and turns in bed, barely asleep because you're not there...and then you crawl into bed, and even though he's sleeping he puts his arms around you and holds you tight, and then he sleeps soundly the rest of the night.
