What do you think of music on your site?

Well I'm going to go against the grain here and say # 4 BUT as long as the default volume setting is not too loud when you first arrive and as long as it has the mute option.

I have visited some sites that have used music as a very effective enhancement to the overall ambiance.

I would say about a 2 Once in a great while its ok depending on what music it is, but for the most part, we usually turn it off. Thanks Randy!

I'd give it a 1...most web developers have a joke that the signs of a bad site include background MIDI music & flaming logos.

1 hate it! If it is a song I don't like or a bad midi version of one that I do.

2 annoying but I ignore it or turn it off If the above is true and especially if I want to listen to my own music. Like right now The Joker Went Wild by Brian Highland is playing on my winamp and I wouldn't want a bad midi of a Civil War Trilogy or Stairway to Heaven playing over it.

4 often nice if it is a good selection I went to one of the exjw sites about three years ago and there was a Bach selection playing. I was rather happy it was because it was a song my mother used to play on her piano and had great sentimental value. Now I have the midi of the song stored in my pc.

5 I like a good piece even if it plays when I change pages but stay on the same site. See 4.

Any other comments are appreciated! I personally am a 2, but I just wonder how many like it often.

Sometimes bad midis can be provide comic relief. I once heard a version of Stairway To Heaven that was so bad that when it got to the rocking: "And as we wind on down the road..." part, I spit gingerale all over my keyboard and monitor. The rocking was so horrible that it was hilariously funny.

I'm somewhere in between a 1 and a 2. Hmmm... "background MIDI music & flaming logos." Hey you might like this link www.latindimples.com (might need to cut&paste). This is a JWs personal webpage....but I don't know she seems kinda worldly to me. There isn't midi music on the first page but click on any of the topics. OH, on the left side--click on "Life Without End At Last" as performed by Prince. This website is great. Everytime I need a laugh I go to it.

    1. Hate it!. Really, truly despise it.

I listen to streaming audio from internet stations or my own music so when I go to a website that plays music it just drowns out what I'm listening to. I don't want to listen to what they want me to listen to, I want to listen to what I'm already listening to.

Hate it. Very rarely is background music used in a way that isn't annoying.

Especially if I have been listening to my own music and have the volume turned up. And especially if its a jingly annoying tune.
