Sabrina you are right and the reason witnesses stay away from blood is scriptures. I stongly reject the idea that jws are advocating the death of more people bye blood. They are not murdering anyone because of there stand on blood.
Acts 15:28.29 I wont quote scriptures you've probably had your fair share of that lol. But here it puts blood with fornication and things sacrificed to idols and so on.
Genesis 9:3,4 no blood
leviticus 17:13-16 bled animal fleash but no blood.
Okay so no blood is simple in the scriptures. so the only claim is that it is an unjust death? Why should we have to die because of no blood when we could keep living....in satans system.
Well its important to show Jehovah you have no love for this world, and want nothing to do with it. If your not ready or prepared to do this dont become a jehovahs witness. Number 2 often being a witness is referred to as being in war, theres war all around us. Eph 6 gives a good account of the suit of armor and how this armor is comrised of faith and righteousness and so on. If we need this armor isnt it safe to say we will do battle? If I die in a Nazi Concentration camp...is it any different from dying on a hospital bed? You say no to the nazis you face the fear of death, you say no to the doctors and you face the fear of death. Are Jehovah's witnesses suppose to fear death? I think true Witnesses fear only one thing....Jehovah. It is this fear of his holy judgement that moves us to deny blood....to show no fear in the face of death, yes that would be the only way to prove a witness for jehovah. I for one dont see anything in satans world worth hanging onto.

Ecclesiates 9:11 says time and unforseen occurrences befall us all. such is also true in the medical world we have to be prepared for what could happen. If you think that being a Jehovahs Witness means your gonna live to be old, thats not the case.
Look at proverbs 16:17 One who is safegaurding hiw way is keeping his soul. Soul can be rendered to mean blood or life.
You can also look at this as to keep your blood to yourself. He is not sharing his soul is he?
At john 17:3 jesus says this means everlasting live. Can the doctor give you everlating live? No infact blood transfusions kill elderly faster then regular adults.
Ecc 3:2 there is a time to die. We all have to face this reality of life.
2 Tim 3:1,2 i think. It says that the last days will be hard to deal with. This includes staring death in the face. Having some professional tell you something he read in a book, the same way as what u believe..it was written in a book. But the question is. What book do you want to follow?
I have to go back for more heat surgery...I face this blood issue today as we speak. Am i going to hinder.....cower at the thought of death no, I told my doctor that if he didnt trust himself to do the surgery without blood I will find a doctor more confident in his skills.
I would like to live, I am going to go thru everything possible to try and get this surgery done without blood. Which will be easy cuz its not major major....just a young doc scared to take a chance.
Doctors use blood as a safegaurd. Mal practice claims against the government could rise well into the billions of dollars if doctors did not use blood to save there arses. Most cases where blood is needed in surgery is because the doctor made a mistake....which is fine there human. But the victims of these cases would no doubt sue the government for alot of money. So they use there cash to fund blood because its acts like a safty net. This is only seen in North America where we have the money to pour into a system like this. This issue dosnt exist in other countries because in other countries to cant sue your government claiming them responsible for anything. So we seee doctors trying to copy what we do over here all though we do what we do over here only to save money. And in the process of them trying to copy us, they result in doing more harm then good. So do we justify what is going on in third world countrys because it adds to our "finacial security" or our "physical security" the feeling that we can walk across the street alittle safer.
The red cross is a good organization of course, they do what they can knowing what they know. But I do not agree with 91 percent, I will look into it in more detail, but im sure that number includes what they payed out for there saleries and so on. I think 9 percent of the funds cant be accounted for. I could be wrong, when I have more time I will look into it.
